BOTOX® Cosmetic

When you smile, laugh, frown, or look puzzled, you contract the muscles of your face. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the country and one of our most requested services. Quick, safe and effective, BOTOX® reduces or eliminates facial lines and wrinkles for up to six months with no downtime or surgery and little to no discomfort. Through a series of tiny injections, BOTOX® gives you a rejuvenated look by smoothing crow's feet around the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines across the forehead, worry lines around the mouth, and lines on the neck.

Chemical Peels

Dr. Stewart offers a variety of peels. Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths to produce healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient.

Fillers

Dr. Stewart offers a variety of filler substances such as Cosmoplast® and JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel. These treatments are effective at treating wrinkles, depressed scars, and enhancing lips.

JUVÉDERM™
Touted as the "next generation" of facial fillers, JUVÉDERM™ injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face. Made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to provide volume and support to the skin, JUVÉDERM™ is especially effective on smile lines and "parentheses" (nasolabial folds) that run from the bottom of the nose to the sides of the mouth. Treatment takes only 30 minutes with immediate results and no downtime. Results typically last about 9 months to a year.

CosmoPlast™
Most types of injectible collagen are derived from purified bovine (cow) products, which means patients must undergo skin allergy tests and wait weeks for results before you can begin treatments. But CosmoPlast™, a soft-tissue filler made from human collagen, is similar to what's already in the body, eliminating the need for pre-treatment testing and reducing recovery time for fast, simple improvement of facial lines and wrinkles. With as little as one trip to the physician's office, you can be on your way to enjoying a healthier, younger appearance for up to six months.

Photorejuvenation

The natural consequences of aging on our skin include age spots, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and redness caused by broken capillaries. Photorejuvenation reduces these signs of aging using non-invasive, painless pulses of light. Treatments can also improve the appearance of birthmarks and uneven pigmentation and stimulate the production of collagen. There is no recovery time and low risk of complications. Multiple sessions are performed every few weeks until the desired result has been achieved.

Laser Hair Removal

Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, women and men who are tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair on the face, back, legs or other body areas may welcome laser hair removal.

Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light. Dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface absorb this light and convert it to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth.

Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion removes the topmost layer of skin to give patients a smoother, younger look. The DiamondTome™ Wand aids in this exfoliation process by gently removing the skin cells with tiny diamond chips and vacuuming away the excess. Advantages of the DiamondTome™ System over traditional (particle) dermabrasion and chemical peels are no loose messy particles and minimal irritation. Patients see an improvement after the first treatment; four to ten sessions are typically required for optimal results. Regular activities may be resumed immediately.

Leg Vein Treatments

Sclerotherapy is the standard treatment for varicose and spider veins. A special sclerosing solution is injected into the diseased vein, which then collapses and is gradually absorbed by the body. By the end of the treatment program, the veins are less visible on the skin surface.

The Isolaz® Acne Treatment

Isolaz® which was rated One of the Three Hottest New Products at the 2007 American Dermatology Conference is powered by a breakthrough technology called Photopneumatics which is the only therapy in the world that combines a vacuum (to deep cleanse and purify your pores) and painless light therapy (that helps destroy the acne causing bacteria) to eliminate even the most stubborn acne. Dr. Stewart is proud to be the first physician in Louisiana to offer this new FDA approved device.

Fractional Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing

Through this cutting-edge laser technology Dr. Stewart is able to offer her patients fresher, more youthful looking skin. The infrared laser penetrates well below the epidermis and into the actual dermis of your skin with an array of microbeams sparing any damage to surrounding tissue. This initiates a natural healing process and accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue resulting in improved skin color, texture, tone and lessening of fine lines and wrinkles. Since this laser is non-ablative, there is significantly less downtime when compared to traditional ablative laser resurfacing.

The Profect Facial Studio

With the Profect Facial Studio, skin defects such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and spider veins can be seen more clearly than ever before.
