Most find the treatment very comfortable, but you may experience some mild discomfort depending on your pain tolerance and treatment settings. You will feel some heat and tinging as the laser is passed over the skin. For mild treatments the discomfort is very minimal. For sensitive patients or more aggressive treatments, our skin care specialist will use a topical numbing cream to make your treatment very comfortable.
A session can range from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the size of the target area. After the procedure, you may experience mild redness but can immediately resume regular activities. Complete healing typically takes 5 to 7 days.
The number of sessions needed varies according to your expectations. While some individuals may notice results after a single session, others might require a series of treatments to achieve their desired outcome. Most patients receive anywhere from 3-6 treatments spaced a month apart and often come back once or twice a year to maintain that glowing, healthy skin!
Immediately following the treatment you will notice some redness, which will lessen over the next day or so. The following 5-6 days your skin will have a dry, sandpaper-like texture. This is normal and will resolve as your skin exfoliates, revealing fresher, clearer skin.
