What is Sclerotherapy?
Tired of looking at those spider veins? Sclerotherapy is a procedure in which the physician uses a small syringe with a tiny needle to inject a solution directly into the spider vein.
How does it work?
The solution used in sclerotherapy causes the tiny blood vessel to become irritated and swell shut, prohibiting the blood from reentering the vein.
How many treatments will I need?
Repeat treatments should be done every 1-2 months for a total of 3-5 treatments to get the best results.
Is there anything special I have to do after the treatment?
After the procedure, compression stockings need to be worn for 2 weeks.
